Vocational/Employment
The Supportive Employment Program supports individuals with competitive employment as an attainable goal. The individual is an active participant in identifying an individualized job placement according to their strengths and work experience in collaboration with CMHA and other organizations. The program helps individuals explore interests, abilities, skills, strengths and barriers in order to develop their vocational goal; helps individuals access existing employment and educational resources within the community; helps individuals obtain job-related skills they need to prepare for today's competitive work force; and assists in finding an appropriate match between the individual's needs and abilities with community employment opportunities.
Referrals can be made by self, family, hospital, physician, psychiatrist, mental health or health professional. Referral forms may be accessed through the website, or call for referral.
