Program Description

In partnership with the Nipissing Parry Sound District Health Unit, the Alliance Centre’s Needle Exchange Program provides the following to those who choose to use drugs with needles and are at risk of transmitting HIV, Hepatitis and other blood borne infections:
Needles and other harm reduction items, including sharps containers
◾Needle disposal
◾Inhalation and Crystal Meth kits
◾Naloxone kits
◾Condoms
◾Health information
◾Referrals
Needle exchange services have been proven to reduce the spread of infection without increasing intravenous drug use. All of the services are free and confidential.
