Diversion and Court Support

Program Description

Provides support to individuals in conflict with the law and living with a serious mental illness (SMI), multiple and complex needs, and homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Helps individuals to navigate the legal system and resolve issues that may have an impact on recidivism, housing, and mental health. Goal is to navigate the individual away from the criminal justice system and provide intensive community support and rehabilitation. Model of service is recovery, strengths-based, and psychosocial rehabilitation.

Clients with Legal Issues

Access Information

Client must be living with a serious mental illness and in conflict with the law. Intake is considered based on complexity of need and ability to function independently.
