ConnexOntario Data and Impact Across Ontario
ConnexOntario helps people find mental health, addiction and problem gambling services throughout Ontario. Its specialists are available 24 hours a day by phone, text, live chat and email.
ConnexOntario also maintains a province-wide database of programs and services. This information supports individuals, families, professionals, service providers, researchers and healthcare system planning.
The following results cover April 2024 to March 2025.

ConnexOntario is committed to empowering individuals by providing 24/7 access to reliable information about mental health, gambling, and addiction services. We engage with youth, adults, and seniors to connect them with resources that best meet their unique needs. As experts in youth engagement, we co-develop resources to create materials that truly resonate with young people.
By compiling comprehensive system-wide data, we support governments, educators, researchers, and mental health professionals in their efforts to build a healthier Ontario.

ConnexOntario provided information and referral support during 93% of contacts. General support was provided during 31%, while distress support was provided during 7%. One contact may include more than one type of support.

Referrals to Mental Health, Addiction and Problem Gambling Services
ConnexOntario specialists help people understand their options and identify programs that may meet their needs.
During 2024–2025, ConnexOntario provided:
Supplementary resources may include support groups, community programs, cultural or faith-based supports and other non-clinical services. Referral totals are higher than contact volumes because one person may receive information about several programs or resources during one interaction.
A Province-Wide Mental Health and Addiction Service Database
The ConnexOntario database included 6,422 mental health, addiction and problem gambling programs and services during 2024–2025.
These services were offered by 554 organizations through 1,949 program sites across Ontario.

ConnexOntario works with treatment providers to keep service information current. Program listings may include location, eligibility, contact details, service type, hours, language options and intake information.
Mental Health and Addiction Service Coverage Across Ontario
ConnexOntario supports people in urban, rural, northern and remote communities.

Because ConnexOntario is available by phone, text, live chat, email and online search, people can access service navigation from anywhere in Ontario.
Supporting Access in Different Languages
Translation services were used in 25 identified languages during 2024–2025:
French, Spanish, Catalan, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Punjabi, Telugu, Arabic, Farsi, Tigrigna, Oromo, Turkish, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, Norwegian, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Czech, Swedish, Somali, Vietnamese, Slovak and Polish.
This figure represents languages in which translation services were used during the reporting year. It is not the total number of languages available through interpretation.
Improving Access Through Data and Technology
ConnexOntario continued to improve how people and professionals find services during 2024–2025.
The ConnexOntario website recorded more than 73,000 searches for mental health and addiction resources. The organization also:
- Upgraded the ConnexOntario and mindyourmind websites
- Redesigned its eServices platform
- Launched a public Power BI data dashboard
- Continued sharing service information with Ontario Health
- Supported 988 with information used when transferring people to mental health and addiction resources
- Added Ocean eReferral to support direct referrals to participating organizations
These improvements help people find current information and make it easier for professionals to navigate Ontario’s mental health and addictions system.
Strengthening Support Through Staff Training
ConnexOntario’s team members averaged more than eight years of service in 2024–2025.
Staff completed training related to:
- Distress and crisis support
- Motivational interviewing
- Brief focused counselling
- Refugees and trauma
- Vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue
- Privacy
- Indigenous-focused learning
- The Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale Screener
ConnexOntario also developed its Enhanced Supports Project. This initiative focused on reducing unnecessary transfers to crisis services, improving support for people with diverse needs and creating more consistent tools and processes.
Community Outreach Across Ontario
ConnexOntario promoted mental health, addiction and problem gambling services through targeted campaigns, events and partnerships.
During 2024–2025, the organization distributed 69,921 resource materials to 426 recipients and through conferences and community events.
Outreach included:
- English, Hindi/Urdu and Punjabi campaigns for South Asian communities
- A year-long digital and radio campaign in Thunder Bay
- Northern Ontario content highlighting support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community
- Transit campaigns across Windsor, London, Niagara, Hamilton, Kitchener and Ottawa
- A province-wide mental health campaign with former Canadian Olympic athlete Miranda Ayim
ConnexOntario also worked with healthcare, community, government, navigation, law enforcement and transportation partners to improve service awareness and system navigation.
Supporting Youth Mental Health Through mindyourmind
ConnexOntario’s youth mental health program, mindyourmind, works with young people and community partners to create tools and resources.
To date, mindyourmind has hosted more than 60 youth design labs across Canada. These projects have led to the development of more than 100 tools and resources in different formats and languages.
During 2024–2025, mindyourmind upgraded its website and continued providing youth-friendly mental health information, interactive tools and guidance for seeking help.
The Be Safe app was also updated and received certifications from the Mental Health Commission of Canada and ORCHA.
