Youth Substance Abuse Therapy

Type of Service

Addictions Treatment - Substance Abuse

Program Description

Alternatives for Youth (AY) provides community treatment services to youth ages 12-22 years, and those who care about them. Services include drug and alcohol education, assessment, treatment and referral. We also provide support to community services through training, education and consultation on the issues of substance use and youth. Alternatives for Youth Substance Abuse Therapy works in a holistic and culturally responsive manner to reduce harm to substance using youth. The MOH-approved standardized assessment tools are administered through this program in person by this organization. A structured intake form is also administered, which includes information on the children/family. We also provide support to community services though training, education and consultation on the issues of youth substance use and pregnancy and parenting. Services are delivered in partnership with several other youth serving organizations including secondary schools.
