Program Description

The Managed Alcohol Program is a replacement therapy. The program replaces non-beverage Alcohol product with wine. The service is residential based and has 6 male beds and 4 female beds . The program is designed to support individuals that have had chronic alcohol misuse issues and have tried other treatment modalities . The service is staffed by a unit attendant, a physician two mornings per week , a nurse one morning per week, and other visiting professionals as needed. We have a dietetics educator , food care nurse, nutritionist, first nation elder , Occupational therapist, and mental health therapist , that support the clients of this program. The goal of this program is to physically stabilize clients and support transitions into daily living , by developing daily living skills . Many of our clients have been isolated due to homelessness and addiction issues. They need a great deal of support and encouragement to allow them the ability to participate in main stream activities.

Access Information

Referrals welcomed by all sources, call and speak to the Recovery Support Lead. This program is designed for those: who have had 10 years or more chronic alcohol use, homeless or at risk of homelessness and have related health issues.
