Addictions Treatment - Substance Abuse

Program Description

This program offers support to pregnant women and women parenting children under the age of six, who have addiction issues. Community treatment offers a variety of groups, for example, "Right From the Start", "Strengthening Families" and "Roots of Empathy." Social workers are part of the hospital integrated social work service and will accept referrals during daily rounds.

Access Information

Other screening tools may be utilized if the therapist feels it is necessary. The group is for women who are pregnant or have children under the age of six, and are experiencing addictions concerns. Can assist clients with transportation. Counsellors go into the following three First Nations Communities upon request: Grassy Narrows First Nations, White Dog First Nations and Whitefish Bay.
