Program Description

The Psychogeriatric Resource Program assists in the care of those individuals with complex care needs and responsive behaviours in Long Term Care Facilities and Community Support Agencies. This program consists of the Psychogeriatric Resource Consultants (PRC) and Outreach Personal Support Workers (OPSW). Services offered within this program are: consultation, education and staff training, care plan development, intervention strategies, integrating services, and developing best practice strategies in behaviour management. Training provided in P.I.E.C.E.S, U-First, Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) in Dementia Care.

Access Information

This program provides support to long-term care facilities and community support organizations only. This program is not designed to provide education for families.
