Program Description

The Short-Term Crisis Support Beds program is for people with mental health issues who can avoid an admission to hospital, but are not safe to stay in the community.

Organization's Current Reported COVID-19 Response

COVID-19: We have stopped non-essential face-to-face visits for mental health treatment services and addiction services. Essential services are maintained. Cancelled all groups. Most appointments changed to phone visits continue. Decreased hours: all from 8-4 except crisis that remains 8-8. Intake services continue for triaging urgent cases.

Access Information

Public referrals can call the crisis line. Individuals must be at least 16 years of age and reside in Prescott and Russell Counties, have mental health issues or be experiencing a crisis. Individuals may not access this program: if they meet the criteria for admission to an inpatient unit; if they are intoxicated or in a state of withdrawal requiring detoxification services; if they refuse to comply with the service policies and procedures or if they decline the service offered.
