Peterborough Community Telemedicine Clinic

Type of Service

Counselling and Treatment

Program Description

Telemedicine provides access to health care for the residents of Peterborough City and County who would otherwise be unable to attend a clinical appointment based on location and need for travel. Through telemedicine, patients are connected to health care providers/specialists using a two-way videoconferencing system, along with the latest telediagnostic instruments (i.e. digital stethoscopes and patient examination cameras). A Registered Nurse is on staff to provide support during the telemedicine appointment.

Access Information

All patients must be referred to telemedicine clinical services by a primary health care provider (ex. Family Physician, Nurse Practitioner).
