Short Term Crisis Support Beds

Program Description

Crisis stabilization / safe beds. All clients are assessed through the Crisis Team prior to admission. Six residential crisis support
beds provide individuals with a safe, supportive environment to help them through their crisis. The average stay in Crisis Safe Beds is five days.
Individuals must be independent of self-care, and are expected to participate in activities of daily living such as preparing meals,
grooming, and laundry. The stay is at no cost to the individual. Model of service is psychosocial rehabilitation with peer support.

Access Information

Point of contact is the 24/7 Telephone Crisis Intervention line. The only exclusionary criterion for the Safe Bed Program is an individual who presents as imminent risk to themselves or others and/or has a recent and severe history of violence.
