Program Description

The Family Support Program aims at providing individual and group support to help clients cope with different issues associated with the family member's illness. This program objectives are to provide support and education to enable families to adequately fulfill their roles in relation to their mentally ill family members and within the mental health system; strengthen and maximize existing community and family networking systems that may be helpful to family members; and provide referral to resources and agencies to meet the specific needs of the family member.

Access Information

Referrals can be made by self, family, hospital, physician, psychiatrist, mental health or health professional. Referral forms may be accessed through the Cornwall office. Interim support is offered through groups and resource centre. Access to this location is by appointment only.
