Mental Health Awareness

Program Description

Promotes and develops mutual support groups. Informs and educates the community about mental health and mental illness. Provides workshops and seminars including Mental Health First Aid, ASIST training, and safeTALK presentations. Publishes a regional newsletter. Provides a lending library for the community. Provides referrals and advocates for the needs of people with mental health problems. Currently involved in a partnership with local post-secondary institutions to provide mental health education and support on campus.
