Safe Beds/Crisis Stablization Beds

Type of Service

Short Term Crisis Support Beds

Program Description

The Crisis Stabilization Beds (CSB) service is intended to assist individuals to remain in their community and divert unnecessary hospitalizations. People experiencing a self-determined mental health crisis may be eligible if they are in need of a safe and secure place to recover from their crisis. If individuals are at risk of self-harm or harming others, then they are not eligible for the CSB bed but may be eligible for a Schedule 1 hospital bed admission.
