Intensive/Day Treatment - Mental Health
An outpatient service adults over the age of 65 who are experiencing a mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, behaviour or personality changes, confusion or significant caregiver stress. Patients must be able to attend appointments at Baycrest. Psychiatrists, nurses, a social worker, and an occupational therapist provide services. Treatment consists of individual and group therapy and medication.
Referral from health or social service professional (e.g. family physician, social worker, occupational and/or physiotherapist) coordinated through the family physician.
Referrals from a physician or nurse practitioner for this service can be initiated through Baycrest Central Navigation, which adheres to a no-wrong-door approach. This assists community agencies, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals in navigating Ambulatory Services at Baycrest.
